The hospital has been owned and operated by Healthe Care Australia Pty Ltd since May 2007. Having opened in 1999, La Trobe Private is a relatively young hospital with modern medical facilities including four state-of-the-art operating theatres and a 19 bed Day Surgery Unit.

Our comprehensive range of specialists includes orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, urology, sleep studies, ear, nose and throat (ENT), gastroenterology, gynaecology, plastic surgery, and oral and maxillofacial surgery.

We pride ourselves on our warm, friendly environment and our first class specialists and staff. Patient care and comfort is our paramount goal and we consistently monitor our patient’s satisfaction and seek ways to continually improve the care and services we provide.

Both private and self-insured patients are welcome at La Trobe Private. We’re also a Tier 1 provider of hospital services to the veteran community and we welcome patients who travel from the country or overseas to have their treatment at our hospital.

La Trobe Private is closely aligned to The Valley Private Hospital in Mulgrave, and South Eastern Private Hospital in Noble Park. Both hospitals are also owned and operated by Healthe Care. Together, this expanding Victorian hospital group aims to service the needs of the rapidly growing outlying Melbourne regions.
